Unfortunately summer is coming to an end, but this means that it’s time to start back up our monthly letter writing nights. We’ve been busy over the summer fundraising and planning our new project, VPAL – as well as doing some lake-side relaxing (self care ya’ll!).
Our next letter writing night will be on Sunday Sept 27th, at Beit Zatoun (612 Markham St – Bathurst and Bloor), starting at 6:30pm.
This month we will be focusing on local and international environmental and animal liberation/defense prisoners. We will discuss their cases and write letters. If you have never written a letter to a prisoner, don’t worry, we got ya covered – we will go over the do’s and don’ts of writing to a prisoner.
Some of the prisoners we will focus on this month include: Krow, Kevin Oliff, Rebbeca Rubin, Debbie Vincent & more.
Childcare and vegan snacks will be provided. Please expect child noise while discussing, and writing. There is a ramp that can be used to enter Beit Zatoun. The washrooms at in the basement, down a steep set of stairs (approximately 12 steps).
